'The Blacklist' Season 2 Spoilers: Details Revealed for Super Bowl Episode
The new episode of the hit crime drama series "The Blacklist" Season 2 is scheduled to air on a Super Bowl Sunday, in February of next year.
The TV program will air in a new timeslot to give way for the sports event coverage. After airing episode 9 right after Super Bowl, on Feb.1, the show will move to a Thursday night timeslot.
Showrunner Joe Carnahan revealed to Forbes that the upcoming segment will be "more of a contained episode" and that it will be "more of return to kind what the Anslo Garrick episodes were last year."
Aside from producing the forthcoming episode, Carnahan revealed that he is also penning the story and will be sitting in the director's chair.
"It's not dissimilar, and yet it is in a ... there's more of a Liz/Red kind of conundrum in this one that I think's really interesting, [as well as] what they're hunting, what they're looking for in this particular episode," the show's executive producer said.
Meanwhile, TV Guide shared their gem of spoilers saying that the Super Bowl episode will see Ron Perlman playing the main villain role. He will play the character named Luther Braxton.
The website revealed that Perlman's character will be that of a "meticulous thief who plans his international heists over the course of several months or years."
Enstarz also contributed to the spoiler news saying that Liz (Megan Boone) "is about to be kidnapped" on "The Blacklist."
They cited Entertainment Weekly saying that the FBI profiler has a "childhood memory" which the curious villain is interested in. This person will do the extremes "to extract" the information.
There's been no confirmed details revealed yet as to who will be the abductor.
"The Blacklist" Season 2 returns February on NBC.
