'The Following' Season 3 Finale News, Spoilers: FOX Unveils Promo Video for Series Finale Episodes
To the disappointment of fans, Fox's hit psychological thriller "The Following" featuring Kevin Bacon as Ryan Hardy, is one of the many cancelled series announced last week and this Monday will see the last of its airing.
The police-procedural drama infused with horrifying plot lines of fanaticism and violence never failed to deliver heart-pounding episodes every week. Spoiler reports indicated that show's season ender will exceed such expectations with more bloody encounters and death counts including a major character.
A report from Design & Trend shared the spoiler-rich promo video for the two-hour finale episode special which will air this week. It featured Ryan's trusty partner Mike Weston (Shawn Ashmore) held at gunpoint by the tech genius Theo Noble (Michael Ealy).
Ryan, on the other hand, took Theo's foster-sister Penny as his hostage with the hopes of getting Mike back to safety.
Fans were quick to speculate that at least one of the characters involved in the featured hostage taking crisis will not be coming out unscathed or worse, still breathing. It remains to be seen how the suspenseful dramatic situation will play out.
The Futon Critic meanwhile posted the official synopsis for this week's special finale segments titled "Dead or Alive/The Reckoning" and it reads:
"The FBI hunt for Theo continues and the stakes are higher than ever as some of their own come under attack. As suspicions rise, alliances are shaken and no one is safe in the harrowing final heart-stopping moments on the all-new, special two-hour "Dead or Alive/The Reckoning" Season Finale episode…"
"The Following" Season 3 airs this Monday, May 18, at 8 p.m. on FOX.
