'The Fosters' Season 3 Spoilers, Plot News: Director Teases A Rita-Centric Installment
Following a week-long break, the third season of ABC Family's hit drama TV series "The Fosters" is back with an exciting episode that will highlight one of the least-focused characters in the show.
The episode director and star of the network's hit medical drama series "Grey's Anatomy," Chandra Wilson, recently talked about the segment titled "Daughters."
This week's showing will particularly tackle on Rita Hendrick's (Rosie O' Donnell) life. Fans will be surprised to know that she actually has a mentally-challenged daughter named Chloe (Marcella Lentz-Pope).
"We do get to see more of Rita's personal life. We see her home. We find out she has a daughter. I was really excited to work with the Girls United girls. I think that's always a treat in the episode when the house shows up and the girls are there," Wilson told Zap2it. "All of that was going to be a lot of fun for me. I have quite a few scenes in Rita's home. As a director it was interesting just to decide how to dress the home so we're not doing everything in the same place all the time."
Wilson went on to tease that this particular part of the episode will have a big impact on what's to come in the season finale.
"Plot wise: get ready to head towards the season finale. There's a nice twist that happens. I was glad to be part of it," she explained.
Find out more of these big revelations when "The Fosters" Season 3 airs this Monday, Aug. 3, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
