'The Originals' Season 5 Spoilers: How Will Rebekah Handle Separation from Siblings?

More of Rebekah's (Claire Holt) sad fate will be revealed in the upcoming final season of "The Originals."

Viewers of the CW series are looking forward to knowing what happened to Rebekah after she and her brothers were forced to separate in the last finale. To keep Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) safe, the Mikaelson siblings were forced to trap a part of The Hollow in their bodies and agreed to never see each other again. Rebekah was one of those who was thoroughly against the idea. She tried to convince Klaus (Joseph Morgan) that they were meant to stay together forever, but their options were limited.

Though Rebekah's storyline will likely not be a focus in season 5, her fans are delighted to confirm that she will be back. Holt recently posted on her Instagram account a photo of her and Morgan on set. This presumably means that her character will resurface in one of the upcoming episodes, perhaps to see her siblings again. It has already been teased that Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will break the pact and return to New Orleans. His decision may have something to do with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who will urge him to reunite with Klaus again.

Elsewhere, spoilers reveal that Caroline's (Candice King) presence will be more than enough to keep Klaus in check during his most difficult times. The hybrid will not take the separation with his brothers and sister well. He is more inclined to go on a rampage to forget his woes. Although he does not have Cami (Leah Pipes) anymore, Caroline will be the rock he needs to face the future and continue protecting his family. There are speculations, though, that the ghost of his dead girlfriend may still appear to him again.

"The Originals" season 5 will air sometime in 2018.
