The Unseen God

A Roman citizen came to a rabbi and asked, “You, Jews, talk about God, but where is this God you are talking about? If you show him, I will believe.” This rabbi didn’t say a word but took this man outdoors. “Look at the sun,” said the rabbi. The Roman citizen looked up but could not see the sun because the sun was too bright. “How can I look straight at the sun?” Then, the rabbi answered, “You cannot even look at the sun, which God has created, then how can you see God with your plain eyes?”
