Throughout the extensive history of the Church, there have been numerous events of lasting significance.

Each week brings anniversaries of impressive milestones, unforgettable tragedies, amazing triumphs, memorable births, notable deaths and everything in between.

The following pages highlight events that happened this week — March 21 through March 27 — in Christian history. They include the election of the first American Episcopal Church bishop, the death of an early church figure who evangelized Armenia and the release of a polarizing Christian film.
