This week marks the anniversary of when famed evangelist Luis Palau, who has reportedly preached in front of tens of millions of people in over 70 countries, was born in Argentina.

Later moving to Portland, Oregon, Palau has been involved in Christian ministry for more than five decades, overseeing his efforts through The Palau Association.

In 2015, for example, Palau rallied 1,000 New York City churches together to organize a gathering of approximately 60,000 people in Central Park for an evangelism event.
