Tim Tebow Expresses Disappointment in Season With Jets

Tim Tebow is finally speaking out about his disappointment with his season as a New York Jet.

Tebow is 25-year-old evangelical Christian backup quarterback who only attempted eight passes all year, according to ESPN. Although the QB helped bring the Denver Broncos to the playoffs last season as a starter, he was granted less than 10 percent of the playing time with the Jets that he was allowed on his previous team.

While Jets head coach Rex Ryan recently announced that he would pass over both Tebow and Jets starter Mark Sanchez to make former third-string quarterback Greg McElroy the new starter, the popular evangelical Christian spoke up about his feelings concerning his role on the team this season.

"Obviously, I'm a little disappointed," Tebow told a number of reporters Wednesday. "Some things are hard to understand."

Despite rumors and his feelings concerning his role on the Jets, the QB who is signed through 2014 said he has yet to ask for a trade from the team. Still, Tebow did not discount the future possibilities.

"I haven't asked for a trade yet," Tebow told reporters.

The Jets traded for Tebow in March, asking him to gain 10 pounds to be a part of their ground and pound offense, according to ESPN reports. However, he was only used in 70 offensive snaps this season which made Tebow recently admit that he had no idea why the team acquired him.

Still, Tebow said he was unsure of his fate after this season.

"I'm not sure," Tebow admitted to reporters on Wednesday. "It's something we'll talk about after the season."

Despite the limited playing time that he received this season, Tebow said he is appreciative of the opportunity that he received to play for the Jets.

"I don't feel deceived," he said in an ESPN report. "I appreciate the opportunity I've had here and want to make the most of these last two weeks."
