Tim Tebow Receives Shots From Another NFL Player

Tim Tebow has been dealing with “haters” all year, and now he can add Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs to the list of anti-Tebow support.

Yahoo reports that while the football big man was on ESPN's "First Take" he took a shot at the star quarterback.

“With all due respect we don't need God on our sidelines," Suggs said before referencing the score Denver lost by on Sunday. "Once again God had to save Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. He couldn't even give them two drives? Seven to three?"

Tebow has been getting slack all year for his "faithful" theatrics, also known as "Tebowing," and his ever so steady praise to God after wins.

He explained, "If you're married and you have a wife and you really love your wife, is it good enough to only say to your wife 'I love her' the day you get married? Or should you tell her every single day when you wake up and every opportunity?"

"So any time I get an opportunity to tell Him that I love Him or given an opportunity to shout Him out on national TV, I'm gonna take that opportunity," Tebow explained.

Jake Plummer, former quarterback of the Broncos, said in an interview with 910-AM in Phoenix, “I wish he’d just shut up after a game and go hug his teammates,” Plummer said. “I think that when he accepts the fact that we know that he loves Jesus Christ then I think I’ll like him a little better. I don’t hate him because of that, I just would rather not have to hear that every time he takes a good snap or makes a good handoff.”

However, many feel he should focus more on his play because of the lack of support he gets from his own team president, Hall of Famer John Elway.

The critics are also harsh on the quarterback as they feel he never plays well in the first three quarters of the game.

“So, explain to me Tim Tebow, what the heck gets into you during fourth quarter late-game drives? I mean do you go into some other zone? Do you go into some spiritual realm that we’re not familiar with?” Skip Bayless said to Tebow in a phone interview on ESPN.

Tebow laughed, and responded, “No, I don’t go into anything like that. I just love playing the game. I’ve been very competitive since I was a little boy and in college. Coach [Urban] Meyer would always talk about that, at the end of the game, you’ve got to have competitive greatness. You have to trust those teammates around you and the coaches. I think that’s what we’ve been doing...”
