Ubisoft has announced it will be launching the open beta for "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege by the middle of this week.

Ubisoft Montreal's upcoming first-person shooter "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege," which is geared for an official launch in early December, will be holding its final open beta test. It is scheduled to begin on November 25, Wednesday and last until November 29, Sunday.

This fourth and last beta, which succeeds the previous stress tests held in March, July, and September this year, will be including a brand new characters, as well as a new map for players to explore.

The coming beta is geared at providing Ubisoft with a clearer idea of how many players are likely to be playing during launch day, and help them gauge the number of servers to keep open to handle the player load.

While "Rainbow Six: Siege" can be played offline, it doesn't handle single-player mode, and gamers will have to resort practicing against bots in a number of Terrorist Hunt levels.

The game is large multiplayer, and is focused on cooperative and competitive gameplay, like in the bomb and team deathmatch modes.

During the final beta, players will get access to the game's Bomb PvP and Secure Area modes, which have never been made available in the previous stress tests. They will also be getting a new PvE Disarm Bomb mode in Terrorist Hunt.

Along with the new modes, Ubisoft will also be including 14 playable operatives to give players a feel of how each of the characters handle the gameplay. When the final game launches, there will be 20 playable operatives for gamers to choose from.

This week's beta will also include a new map which will be available in the Kanal cycle, joining the two other maps, House and Hereford, that were introduced in the previous closed beta.

The game will continue to give a large concentration on deconstruction and how players can utilize weapons and explosives to blow down walls and other structures.

Sadly, the progress from the open beta will not be carried over to the final game.

"Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Seige" is scheduled to launch for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 1 this year.
