Tony Parker, Eva Longoria's Ex, Announces Engagement on Twitter

Eva Longoria's ex-husband Tony Parker is moving on from their split two years ago.

The San Antonio Spurs point guard announced his engagement to another woman via Twitter during an online discussion on Wednesday.

When a fan asked Parker what he does in his spare time, the 31-year-old mentioned his fiancée.

"Spend time with my fiance," wrote Parker, who was participating in a Q & A as a brand ambassador for the Swiss watchmakers Tissot.

Francine is a French journalist and has been dating fellow Frenchman Parker for the past two years. The engagement revelation occurred just one week after Parker and Francine were spotted shopping for rings, according to the Daily Mail.

Furthermore, Parker told fans details about his upcoming honeymoon.

"The Maldives, Tahiti and a safari anywhere in Africa," he posted to Twitter on Wednesday.

The engagement news comes as somewhat of a surprise. Earlier this year, Parker denied plans to remarry anytime soon.

"I just got out of [a marriage], so no," he said, according to Us Weekly. "Not right now."

Meanwhile, Parker split from Longoria in 2007 amidst widespread rumors of his infidelity.

Fortunately, today, Longoria appears to have forgiven her former spouse, and continues to publicly support his team, the Spurs. Native to Texas, Longoria cheered on the Spurs during the NBA Finals against Miami Heat.

"Go Spurs Go! I say Spurs in 5," the actress posted to Twitter during the finals.

Nevertheless, the "Desperate Housewives" did admit a struggle once her divorce was underway. Overcome with sadness at the time, the star recounted that her health rapidly declined.

"I was not eating. I was depressed. I was sad. My diet was coffee," the 38-year-old actress told Dr. Mehmet Oz on "The Dr. Oz Show."

"I didn't know I was depressed," Longoria added of the hardship. "I mean, I knew it was a sad moment in my life, but I wouldn't categorize myself as depressed."

Finally, Longoria's lack of energy led her to seek a health professional.

"I went to the doctor to get some blood tests because I said something's wrong," Longoria continued. "And I was just depleted of every vitamin. He said it's as if somebody took a straw and sucked everything out of your body."

Back to a healthy weight, Longoria has also returned to the dating scene following her divorce. The actress was linked to Mark Sanchez earlier this year, but is now believed to be dating her "Ready For Love" co-star Ernesto Arguello.
