Trick-or-Treaters Got Cocaine Instead of Candy; Drug Giveaway an 'Accident'?

Trick-or-treaters in Britain were shocked to find out that they've been given cocaine instead of candy for Halloween.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with possession of class A drugs after police found out he gave small plastic bags of cocaine to kids. Several kids in the Manchester area were found with white powder in their Trick-or-Treat bags. The man lives in Royton, England, and his unwanted drug distribution to kids came to the attention of authorizes when parents reported it to the police.

Authorities are calling the event an "isolated incident."

"The parents and police acted quickly when this report was made, in the interests of public safety," said Police Superintendent Catherine Hankinson to the BBC. "We understand this to be an isolated incident."

A 21-year-old woman who was also arrested with the man for drug possession was later released without charge.
