'True Blood' Season 7 Spoilers: Tara Buck Talks Ginger's Obsession with Eric, Leaves Hints For the Future

"True Blood" star Tara Buck opened up about her character Ginger's backstory as well as her future on the seventh and final season the series recently.

The actress revealed that her character's obsession with Alexander Skarsgard's character, Eric, played a significant role on "True Blood," and that it will continue to do so. After all, it was originally Ginger's idea to turn Pam and Eric's video store into the bar Fangtasia, where Bill (Stephen Moyer) first took Sookie (Anna Paquin).

"You really get her infatuation with Eric," Buck said of Ginger this season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "It is something she has spent her life on every day, from morning to night, someday having either a sexual encounter or at least being validated in some way by him. I think that becomes her sole mission in life."

Although Ginger came up with the plan for Fangtasia, she was soon "glamoured" by Pam who went on to take credit for the famous Bon Temps vampire hang out. Buck went on to explain that Pam and Eric realize they owe something to Ginger since she is hopelessly loyal.

"People ask, 'Why do they keep Ginger around, she always [messing] things up,'" Buck told The Hollywood Reporter. "When you see this, you realize that there is something that is a part of Eric and Pam that although they are vampires, they do have some kind of conscience."

The actress also teased that her "ultimate favorite Ginger scene happens this year."

"It will happen in another episode coming up," the starlet noted.

However, the barmaid character will not enter a darker place during season seven.

"No, I think you could expect that what she's going through is dark and said – and hopefully the outcome for the audience is anything but," Buck said. "I hope it will be light and hilarious. I can't take her too seriously."

"True Blood" airs on HBO Sundays at 9 p.m. EST.
