Trump's week in review: FDA update angers pro-lifers; Trump Accounts created for 70M children

How long will the U.S. Food and Drug Administration take to finish its review of the abortion pill? Pro-life leaders got an answer this week, and they didn’t like it. That news led a busy week for the Trump administration, which also saw the president hold several rallies ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections. 

Pro-life leaders are running out of patience with the FDA. In a court filing, the agency said its safety review of the abortion pill mifepristone won’t be finished until March 2027. 

The same day, the White House celebrated a milestone for Trump Accounts, its new investment accounts for American children. President Donald Trump announced that “every single eligible minor child in America has now been enrolled in a Trump Account” and said more than $4.5 billion has been deposited since July 4.
