Trump's week in review: Saudi Arabia's nuclear deal; data center push; escalating war in Iran
The past week's headlines out of Washington ranged from a $1 billion Medicaid dispute to a nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia and President Donald Trump openly weighing a "massive attack" on Iran.
The Trump administration paused Medicaid funding to California and Minnesota over fraud concerns and updated federal guidance on religious liberty and parental rights for the first time since 2017.
Meanwhile, the war with Iran escalated further, with CENTCOM carrying out 13 consecutive nights of strikes and Trump warning of harsher retaliation for attacks on U.S. troops and shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
The president also used a White House event to make his case for data centers, arguing that tech companies, not consumers, should foot the bill for the power grid upgrades their AI ambitions demand.
