Nunes is Quite Confident Ahead of UFC 207

Nunes also added that she's got a hundred percent chance of beating Rousey before making up her mind, saying it's in fact a 200 percent chance in her favor.

Rousey is known for her superb skills in judo, winning an Olympic medal in the sport at the Beijing Summer Olympics in 2008. But, Nunes said that she also has a background in judo and she's the better judoka between them.

Nunes said that she had her eyes set on a Rousey fight even when she's still starting in the UFC. She claims that there's nothing Rousey is going to throw at her during the fight that she can't handle. The Brazilian said that Rousey will have a rough night with her striking.

Nunes also said that she doesn't mind playing the role of the underdog. To the contrary, she thinks that it puts a lot of pressure on Ronda's shoulders when the whole world is expecting a lot from her comeback bid. For the bantamweight champ, it's everything to win.

Nunes Defended Rousey from Critics

But, it wasn't just all tirades. Nunes also expressed her respect for the former champ and defended her against critics who question whether Rousey deserves the title shot after losing and taking almost a year off from fighting.

UFC women fighters Cris 'Cyborg' Justino and Julianna Peña did not hide their disappointment over the upcoming fight. They both agree with others that Rousey is not worthy of the title fight. Cyborg called it "ridiculous", while Peña said it's "b*llsh*t."

The Brazilian fighter has a different take. Nunes said that Ronda deserves it because she was the most dominant fighter prior to the loss. And, as a former champion herself, Ronda has the right to get a rematch right away.

Lastly, she also said that she was grateful to Rousey for letting the fight to push through. Nunes believe that the fight will mean a lot in terms of her career and her life, in general. The upcoming December fight is expected to give the previous PPV records set by Conor McGregor a run for its money. Nunes knew she's in for a sizable paycheck.
