On related news, a report from International Business Times hinted the precarious state that the scripted program is in right now. According to TV by The Numbers, it appears that the ratings of the show continue to plummet down.

It remains to be seen if the network is up for a renewal or resort to a dreadful cancellation. Regardless of which, avid followers of the show won't be left hanging when the time for the current season to end comes.

Per the words of executive producer Tim Schlattmann, who spoke during the 2015 Comic-Con International event, all questions about the mystery of the Dome will be answered at the end of the season.

"By the end of the season, you will know everything. I usually don't use this language ... but things are gonna get bananas," the executive producer.

For the meantime, "Under the Dome" Season 3 Episode 6 airs this Thursday, July 23, at 10 p.m. on CBS.
