Upcoming Samsung Tablets 2015: Korean Manufacturer Planning To Launch 'Foldable' Android Slate?

Samsung is among the most popular brands in terms of mobile technology today. As far as Android smartphone sales are concerned, the Korean phone maker is still unbeatable getting majority of the market worldwide. In fact, Samsung alone has the advantage over Apple's iPhone lineup.

But in spite Samsung's success in the mobile industry, it is still trying its best to innovate and bring something interesting and special to its loyal consumers.

According to a recent report by Phone Arena, the company could be planning to develop and launch a foldable tablet some time in the future. While there are no clear indications that Samsung is indeed planning to venture into the foldable device development, a recent patent reportedly provides some hints.

In the report, Samsung has reportedly filed patents that pertain to foldable devices. These devices are probably Android powered tablets that can be folded like a book or pamphlet.

Last year, the Korean manufacturer launched its first device that has a curved screen, the Galaxy Note Edge, and it immediately followed suit with the Galaxy S6 Edge earlier this year.

As time passes and Samsung continues to explore various display technologies and innovations, only time will tell when these science-fiction-ish devices will be released.
