Washington Redskins Linebacker Mason Foster to Undergo Surgery to Repair a Torn Labrum in His Shoulder

Washington Redskins inside linebacker Mason Foster has been playing with a torn labrum in his right shoulder for weeks now, but it seems the pain has become unbearable for him.

Redskins head coach Jay Gruden has confirmed that Foster has decided to undergo surgery to repair the damage on his shoulder. The veteran linebacker has been dealing with the injury since their week 2 victory over the Los Angeles Rams, so it's actually a little surprising that it took him that long to reach that decision.

The Redskins have also announced that he has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Apparently, Foster didn't seem to like the way the Redskins' front office handled his injury and he took to Twitter to air out his frustrations last Friday. He didn't specifically mention the name of the person he was unhappy with, but it appeared that his criticisms were directed at Redskins president Bruce Allen.

Fortunately, Foster has already cleared the air with Allen and other members of the front office during a meeting on Saturday.

"We pretty much just hashed it out. Everybody just said how they was feeling. What did this, what did that. Sitting down face to face went well. We was able to telling how we were feeling and what was bothering, what was the problem. We handled that internally, and it went well," Foster said, via the Washington Post.

"I was in that dark place. I just felt like it could've been avoided to something else. That's why when we had the conversation today, it pretty much cleared up all the gray area and everything that was going on," he added.

Well, it's good to hear that they have managed to settle things internally, and he also took responsibility for his tweets. But many would argue that this type of issue shouldn't have been made public in the first place.
