Watch 80 Amish Pick Up and Move a House by Hand (VIDEO)

It's a nice gesture when your friends come over to help you move. It's another thing when they move your actual house – by hand. But when you're Amish and you're careful not to rely too heavily on modern machinery, that's just the kind of thing you do. In this video, 80 Amish men in Sparty, Pa. pick up and carry a house onto its foundation using little more than back strength and coordinated movement.

There's more wooden creaking and crunching than I'd care for if it were my house, but I trust they know what they're doing. Picking up a house doesn't seem like something you just jump into without a plan.
