What Happens When a Dachshund Makes Friends With a Crab? Something Adorably Sweet (VIDEO)

When Jason Wheeler and girlfriend Emma Crompton rescued Madeline the dachshund at 3 months old, they didn't know she'd become a viral superstar. However, then came the chance encounter between Madeline and a ghost crab on the beach of Pawleys Island, S.C. in 2012.

Wheeler used a GoPro camera to capture footage of the two animals dancing on the sand, trying to figure each other out. The playdate goes on for a while, but then ends in unexpectedly dramatic fashion. Don't be surprised if you tear up a little.
