The two appeared to be rekindling their affair at Le Petit Four restaurant in West Hollywood before taking off in Ray J's car.

Houston, 48, and Ray J, 31, dated in 2007 following Houston's divorce from singer Bobby Brown. After they reportedly split in 2009, the odd couple was rumored to be casually seeing each other again in 2010.

Ray J, who is the brother of singer actress Brandy, previously dated reality star Kim Kardashian for several years. In 2007, a sex tape Ray J made with his then stylist girlfriend Kardashian in 2003 was "leaked" to the public. Many speculated that Kardashian released the tape herself to land secure fame and her subsequent reality show.

Ray J's mother and manager, Sonja Norwood, told talk show host Wendy Williams how she felt about the infamous scandal during a 2010 interview.

"It is old business and at some point we're going to get past this whole thing, hopefully, America. But, as a mother, I was very upset, like I could have killed him," Sonja said.

Sonja had no qualms telling the gossip queen Williams that she believes Kardashian, who has since become a household name, leaked the tape herself.

"With all the hoopla with it being Ray J and people trying to blame him, did you see him on the cover of Playgirl? Did you see him in the centerfold of Playgirl?" Sonja added.

Kardashian posed for Playboy the same year the tape was reportedly leaked.

Houston's has also caused a stir in the media as of late with rumors of her losing her entire fortune, including money from a $100 million record deal, going public in late January.

A rep for the Grammy-winning singer denied the rumors as "ridiculous" and " not true."
