In 2016, Tyler Perry candidly talked about how much Jesus Christ means to him while gearing up for "The Passion" live on the FOX network on Palm Sunday.

"There is a God. There was a death; there was a resurrection for all, and the compassion and the love that He had was for everyone, not just some, but for everyone! That's what the resurrection and the crucifixion was all about — the love for everyone," Perry told CP.

"The story of Jesus' life, Jesus' resurrection and death, and more than anything His compassion and love for us all."

Jesus asked Peter what the people thought about Him, but what the Savior was most concerned with was how Peter viewed Him.
