Willow Smith Balds Herself (PHOTO)

Willow Smith, daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, has made the bold decision to shave her head bald.

The child actress and singer shaved her head and then posted pictures Thursday on WhoSay.com and Facebook. The singer became known for her song "Whip My Hair." Many have applauded Willow's bravery for attempting a daring new look.

Despite other suggestions that Jada may now look more like Will Smith than her mother, the opposite may be true considering that Willow's initial idea to shave her head was inspired by not only her mother, but her grandmother as well.

This is not the first time that the young actress has made a daring fashion decision and taken the razor to her head. In a June 2009 interview, Pinkett Smith talked to George Lopez on "Lopez Tonight" about Willow's first daring look, which included shaving the sides of her head at nine years old. Smith said, "Let me tell you, I'm lucky that's all she shaved. My mother's hair is that length and of course I had my hair that length when I was pregnant with her."

At the time Willow said "Ma I'm really tired of the hair" suggesting that it was more of a bother to deal with. Pinkett Smith also said that Willow had to get dad's permission the first time before attempting her risky new do. However, it is uncertain whether Willow's parents had any idea that her new plan was to shave everything.

Willow's single "Whip My Hair" went platinum hitting number 11 in the U.S. and number two in the U.K. She has also collaborated with Nicki Minaj, however with less success.
