'Wolverine 3' news, cast, spoilers: Old Man Sabretooth would be okay for Liev Schreiber

Marvel has already a strong lineup of movies for the next few years. After 2016's "Deadpool," "X-Men: Apocalypse," and "Gambit," 2017 is already being filled with noteworthy movies, including "Wolverine 3," which would apparently be Hugh Jackman's last appearance as the metal-clawed mutant.

For now, there are not a lot of news for the plot of the movie; however, Jackman did drop a hint on what they are developing during the last San Diego Comic-Con. He teased fans by mentioning "Old Man Logan," which follows a story line in an alternate universe. It also seems like that they will be taking ideas of fans into consideration as Jackman posted the question on his Twitter account. Two things kept popping up: First is to show the mutant's "berserker rage" and second is the name of Wolverine's archenemy Victor Creed, a.k.a. Sabretooth.

Victor Creed (Sabretooth) is a fictional supervillain that appeared in the first "Wolverine" movie, and was played by Liev Schreiber. Although fans felt that despite many things did not work in the first film, Schreiber was definitely not one of them. He portrayed the character so well that it was assumed he would be seen again in the next Wolverine, which unfortunately has not happened yet.

Recently, a rumor sparked that Schreiber is already joining the cast after he responded to one of Jackman's Twitter post of a picture intensely working out. He jokingly (or probably seriously) asked if he had to do the same. Many assumed that Schreiber was pertaining to the preparation for his comeback; however, according to Screen Rant, in a recent interview with "Jimmy Fallon," he said that he isn't involved in the project yet but would be so if the chance was given to him. He told Fallon, "I don't know if I'm invited, but what I heard was that the story line is Old Man Logan. And when I heard that, I thought, 'Well, you know… there's Old Man Logan, there could be Old Man Sabretooth." He then proceeded to joke about how they would need a walker because of old age.

Since there is more time for the film's plot to be developed, fans can only wait and see if they will get to see the reunion of Wolverine and Sabretooth on the big screen as Wolverine 3 is set to hit theaters on March 3, 2017.
