'World of Final Fantasy' Patch 1.03 Features: Update Arrives With Free DLCs and Several Game Changes

Patch 1.03 for "World of Final Fantasy" has recently gone live, and luckily for players, developers have included several free downloadable contents alongside the update's change notes.

"World of Final Fantasy" is a 2016 release developed by Tose and Square Enix Business Division 3. The role-playing video game gathered support for offering the classic gameplay that players first encountered from the earlier titles under the "Final Fantasy" franchise.

However, developers made sure that "World of Final Fantasy" will have its distinct features as well, such as the game being set in a fictional world called Grymoire. But this particular game's story revolves around the siblings Lann and Reynn.

For starter, developers have included several characters from other Square Enix games, such as the sky pirate Balthier from "Final Fantasy XII" and Sora from another successful franchise called "Kingdom Hearts." While Balthier is staying in the game for good, Sora will be in the "World of Final Fantasy" for a limited time only.

Patch 1.03, which went live last Thursday, also provides players the option to skip scenes in battle mode that can be done by simply pressing the circle button. There will also be a Fast Forward setting to be applied to battles and events.

In relation to playing with Balthier and Sora, patch 1.03 will also allow players to customize the background music according to the character they have chosen. However, corresponding Champion Medals are required to activate this function.

Reports have also noted how this particular game update was announced in a distinct tone familiar to its players and based on the nature of the title. The game update message reads: "If you want, we've given you the power to skip Champion and Mega Mirage animations with the O button, completely invalidating the work of dozens of artists with a single squeeze of your almighty, indifferent thumb." The note adds, "And, of course, we've crushed some bugs. CRUSH! They're gone! Happy imprisming!"
