Worship music leads Christian Grammy Award nominations: 'It always is for His glory'

Best Contemporary Christian Music Album

  • No Stranger  – Natalie Grant

  • Feels Like Home Vol. 2 – Israel & New Breed

  • The Blessing (Live) – Kari Jobe

  • Citizen Of Heaven (Live) – Tauren Wells

  • Old Church Basement – Elevation Worship & Maverick City Music

After learning of her nomination, Grant said she was “humbled,” “overwhelmed” and “grateful.”

She wrote on Instagram: “This is my 9th nomination and every one has been an honor. But this one is extra special. @bernieherms and I stepped out on the edge and went in a musical and artistic direction that we felt the Lord was pushing us in. It wasn’t gonna be the typical formula. But it was what the Lord was impressing on us to do. And it was never for this recognition. It was and always is for His glory. And the privilege of leading people in to the life-changing, chain-breaking, freedom-bringing presence of Jesus.

"And I’m overwhelmed at the testimonies I receive daily about how this music has been an anchor for so many of you. And this just a sweet honor to receive from our peers.”
