Xperia Z4v News: Gaming-Focused Smartphone Coming From Sony, Through Verizon

After Sony's press conference at the E3 2015, the company came out with news linking gaming with their other area of business, smartphones. It will offer a new flagship phone under the Xperia Z4 series, called the Xperia Z4v.

The new phone will be offered exclusively through Verizon and thus will only be available in Verizon service areas. What is unique about the phone is its focus on gaming -- not on mobile gaming, but on PlayStation 4 gaming. It will allow users of the smartphone to remotely stream and play PS4 games.

The new smartphone allows those who already have PS4 consoles to "break away from their TV and continue their PS4 gaming anywhere in their home via PS4 Remote Play," as Verizon stated in their official statement. All they need to do is to connect the smartphone to their home Wi-Fi and their DualShock 4 Wireless Controller "to play full versions of their favorite PS4 games directly on the phone" when the TV is otherwise occupied or is in use.
