After seeing countless moths over my lifetime, I've never heard one make a sound. And then came this YouTube video.

A man handles an Acherontia aropos, a kind of Death's-head Hawk moth, known for the skull-shaped pattern on its thorax. When the moth is bothered, it emits a short squeak. And it's not shy about voicing its displeasure, either. Throughout the minute-plus video, the perturbed insect does its best impression of a baby toy.
