Abigail Breslin Talks First Kiss in New Movie 'New Year's Eve'
Abigail Breslin has spoken out about her new film “New Year’s Eve” where she plays a more intimate romantic role than what moviegoers are used to seeing her in.
Breslin has already received an Oscar nomination in the past and is one of the most promising young Hollywood actresses out there.
The teenage star has previously wowed audiences with her portrayal of sweetness and innocence for that Oscar nomination, however, she now plays a much more intimate role in the new romantic flick.
In “New Year’s Eve” she has her first on-screen kiss, and plays a girl becoming involved in a relationship with the Disney Channel’s Jake T. Austin.
Breslin, 15, spoke to Hollywood Reporter about the on-screen kiss, and the giggling actress explained: “It was very professional. There were a lot of breath mints on set.”
The film also stars young Hollywood star Zac Efron.
Breslin’s other new film “Janie Jones” in which she recently starred showed her portray another much more mature role; playing the daughter of a drug addict who begins to build a relationship with her rock star father.
New Year’s Eve follows the lives of a group of New Yorkers over the final hours of the year, and opened in theaters across the U.S. on Friday, Dec. 9.
