Acer Liquid Zest Plus Announced, Includes 5,000mAh Battery, Tri-Focus Camera and More

Taiwan-based electronics company Acer has launched a new smartphone dubbed as the Liquid Zest Plus. According to a report by The Indian Express, the device was announced during the company's event held in New York along with other several devices. It is said to be a mid-ranger but an enhanced version of the Acer Liquid Zest that was launched earlier at the Mobile World Congress 2016.

The device is also to have an affordable price tag. Buyers who are interested to purchase the handset will be delighted to know that it will cost below $250. As for the specs and features, Mobipicker detailed that the main highlight is its massive battery pack which has a 5,000mAh capacity.

It also comes with a fast charging feature which makes it very easy for the battery pack to be refilled again with power. Stuff noted that though the model is not the first device to carry a large phone battery, it can offer up to at least two full days of use. Moreover, the device carries a 5.5-inch HD screen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. Under the hood, a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek (MT6735) SoC can be found along with 2 GB of RAM and a native storage of 16 GB.

The device also sports a decent camera offering. It comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera which comes with an LED flash and a new features the company calls as the tri-focus. As noted in The Verge, the tri-focus feature allows the rear camera to utilize not only one but all three of the leading autofocus systems which include the laser, phase detection and contrast detection. On the other hand, the front comes with a 5-megapixel camera. The Liquid Zest Plus is also pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

As of the current, there is no specific release date yet for the device. But fans who are interested to pick up the device will have to stay tuned as it is expected to hit retail stores soon.
