Added to the interest of the event is the participation of the person behind the biggest Pokemon GO game.

Among the speakers expected to attend is John Hanke, the CEO of Niantic Labs, and developer of the latest augmented reality game application, Pokémon GO. Hanke is one of the speakers who will be talking about the details of AR and VR in the entertainment and gaming industry.

Aside from Hanke, GameBeat will be bringing top executives, investors, and analysts to discuss the growth of such technologically advanced platforms, how they work, and the different opportunities these platforms bring.

The theme of this year's conference will be "GamesBeat 2016: The Platform Awakens — A new hope for the game industry." The event will be held at Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

The GameBeats 2016 will be held from August 1-3, 2016.

AR/VR topic will be the main focus on the first day of the conference. Registrations are set to start at 11:00AM-12:30PM on the first day, and 9:30AM-11:00AM on the second day (followed by an expo).
