Graham Brown Dies Aged 87 (VIDEO)

Actor Graham Brown has died in a New Jersey nursing home this week after suffering from heart failure.

According to AP, the lead actor from popular TV sitcom Stanford & Son passed away on Tuesday earlier this week. He was aged 87.

Brown reportedly suffered heart failure at the Lillian Booth Actors Fund Nursing Home in Englewood.

The actor found fame for his role in 70’s show Sanford & Son. However, he also featured in the stage production of the Negro Ensemble Company of New York. He also found fame in playing a judge on “Law and Order” and had roles in a series of movies including Malcolm X, The Muppets Take Manhattan, as well as Clockers.

Born Robert Brown in New York, he is best known for his work on the stage, and was often cast as professional and/or highly educated people such as doctors and clergymen.

The Stanford & Son actor’s final role in acting came in 1997.

Brown was also a founding member of the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
