Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0 Tablet Unveiled at CES; Specs Include 10.1-Inch Display, Four Front Speakers, 13MP Camera

Huawei fans have a lot to look forward to this year, 2016, as the Chinese smartphone maker has evidently been busy bringing in new devices to the market. Top of the news is their newly launched devices during the CES 2016. According to a report by BGR, Huawei introduced the devices on Tuesday, Jan. 5, and included in the list is their latest tablet dubbed as the MediaPad M2 10.0.

Prior to the unveiling, many believed that the company was going to release a device called Honor X3, which has been circulating around the web for some time. But as it turned out, Huawei has brought in a completely different tablet. Along with two smartwatches and two smartphones, the MediaPad M2 10.0 was shown to the public with an aluminum alloy and full-metal body, as noted in the press release found in Get Huawei. They also designed it with curved edges and a sandblasted finish.

And since Huawei aimed to bring a tablet that will impress users, they made sure that it will offer a great audio and visual experience. As detailed by Digital Trends, the device is installed with four Harman/Kardon speakers positioned at the front. Each speaker comes with features like an Intelligent Power Amplifier, Clari-fi Audio Restoration, and SWS 2.0 Surround Sound.

Wth a body measurement of only 7.35 mm in thickness, the tablet sports a 10.1-inch LCD IPS display with 1920 by 1080 pixels resolution. Under the hood is Huawei's Kirin 930 octa-core processor along with either 2 GB of RAM or 3 GB of RAM. As for the internal storage, buyers can choose between the 16 GB variant or the 64 GB variant. A microSD card slot is available for storage expansion up to 128 GB.

Another notable feature of the tablet is its camera. Usually, tablets don't carry great cameras but with the Huawei MediaPad M2 10.0, one can find a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. It is also compatible with the brand's proprietary stylus, the M-Pen. Giving it power and life is a 6660 mAh battery.
