iPad Pro Rumors: Giant Apple Slate Tipped To Arrive In Late October

iPad Pro rumors have been running around since late 2013 and until now, there are no concrete evidences or leaks that the device would ever see daylight.

However, a new rumor is circulating that the supposed biggest iPad would be unveiled in late October or early November.

According to a report from Phone Arena, new rumors have crept up from Apple's supply lines indicating the production of 12.9-inch screen panels by Sharp. In the report, the screens would begin production by September, which are probably prototypes. That's because the suppliers would allegedly enter mass production of the screens by October.

Considering the timeline of these schedules, the iPad Pro could finally be unveiled by the end of October, or even early November.

For the longest time considered as a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet rival, the iPad Pro's rumored launch interestingly falls on the same month that Microsoft would unveil its Surface Pro 4.

A recent report pointed out that Microsoft is planning to announce a bunch of new devices in October, including its long-overdue Surface Pro 4, which would run on the latest Windows 10 operating system.

If this announcement date proves to be true, then Apple could be planning a launch date in the same month to veer the attention of tablet enthusiasts and consumers.

Based on previous rumors, the upcoming Apple slate would boast a 12.9-inch screen, Force Touch technology and a powerful chipset. However, due to its size, the report mentioned that it is still unclear whether the Cupertino manufacturer would place the iOS platform or a lighter version of the Mac OS.

Aside from the iPad Pro, other rumored upcoming Apple slates include the iPad mini 4. A previous report claims that the iPad Air, on the other hand, would not get a third iteration this year.
