Justin Bieber is revealing his birthday wish on the brink of his 20th birthday.
Bieber, the Canadian crooner born March 1, is prompting close to 50 million Twitter followers to give back to their communities on his birthday.
"#giveback for my bday. let me know how you are helping change your community and world," he tweeted. "Ignore rumors and focus on truth."
The singer was recently accused of assaulting a limousine driver in Toronto, arrested for a DUI and questionable driving in Miami, accused of egging his neighbor's home and pictured performing questionable acts with strippers recently. Aside from his legal woes, Bieber has been linked to numerous women and accused of lewd acts like urinating in a club mop bucket.
Still, his birthday wish has nothing to do with his legal woes directly.
"Bday week. wish the world would learn to believe in the goodness in people and be kind to one another," he tweeted earlier this week. "Together we can change the world."
Bieber is no stranger to philanthropic efforts. Earlier this year, he pledged to inspire his fans to contribute to funds that would help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan, which displaced millions and killed thousands at the close of last year.
It seems he just did that, according to a tweet from his manager Scooter Braun.
"Looks like over $3 million has been raised by @justinbieber and his #Beliebers for #givebackphilippines," Braun tweeted last month. "So amazing. Well done."
It seems Bieber took the call to make a difference seriously and flew to the ravished country last month to witness the devastation first hand and to show his support to those struggling out there. The singer performed and played basketball with children while touring an evacuation center at a school. He also distributed shirts, toys and basketballs to locals who had come out to meet him.
