Kelly Clarkson Denies Gay Rumors, Gushes Over 'True Love' Brandon Blackstock

Singer Kelly Clarkson has once again refuted rumors that she may be a lesbian in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan magazine.

"I get hit on by the hottest girls ever," Clarkson told Cosmopolitan magazine for its February "Love Issue".

"Oh, my God, if I were a lesbian, I would be so in luck. But it's just not my thing. I've always batted for the boys' team," Clarkson added.

Clarkson, who won the first season of singing competition show "American Idol" in 2002, is currently engaged to Nashville-based talent manager Brandon Blackstock, but that hasn't stopped critics and fans from presuming that she may be a lesbian in the past.

"People think, 'Oh, she's been single for too long,'" Clarkson explains of the past rumors.

"That's kind of an insult to the gay community. Being single doesn't mean you're gay. But I'm never insulted by it, obviously," she added.

Clarkson went on to gush about her one-year love, Blackstock, saying, "I've never been truly loved like I am right now."

Blackstock is the son of Narvel Blackstock, who is Clarkson's manager and country music singer Reba McEntire's husband.

It is still unannounced when Clarkson and Blackstock will officially tie the knot, but the singer certainly sees her engagement as one of her "best accomplishments" yet.

"Your priorities kind of shift and you become happier, and all that stuff. It's probably my best accomplishment because I think, for me, especially, I just didn't think it would happen. It's like one of those cheesy love songs that didn't exist, but it does, so that's cool," Clarkson told The Boot in November 2012.
