Kristen Stewart Signs as New Face of Balenciaga

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has signed an agreement to become the new face of Balenciaga’s fragrance for women, Women’s Wear Daily has confirmed.

Balenciaga has planned a new fragrance to be released some time this fall, but the scent has yet to be announced.

Stewart has praised the brand by telling Women’s Wear Daily: “Balenciaga has always stood out to me. Even when I first began to consider fashion and admittedly rarely knew the brand I was wearing, I always recognized and loved Balenciaga.”

She added: “It feels full circle to be involved with something that spoke to me then and of course continues to excite me now. The brand is just cool. That’s the way it is. I feel drawn to it. It provokes on a number of levels. It isn’t afraid or contrived. It hits a very cool balance, always. Always pretty undeniable.”

Stewart’s most famous role has been as Bella Swan in the Twilight saga, which has topped box offices across the globe. However, Stewart has been a working actor since a young age in Los Angeles, California. Her parents, John Stewart and Jules Mann-Stewart, have both previously worked in film and television. Stewart is also half Australian through her mother who hails from Oz.
