Lady Gaga Says 'The Simpsons' Is 'One of the Coolest Things I've Ever Done'

Lady Gaga who will star in the 23rd season finale of "The Simpsons," says she loved the experience of loaning her voice to the show. On Sunday night it was revealed, after the 500th episode that the fashion pop icon will star in the show's season finale.

"Since the very beginning, I've always wanted to have on the most iconic personalities of our time, and she's it," said creator Matt Groening, in Entertainment Weekly.

The longest-running scripted show on television, "The Simpsons" officially debuted on Dec. 17, 1989, and is contracted to run for another two seasons.

"The great thing about having Lady Gaga is that she came in a number of times and always with a different getup," Groening told E! Online. "She'd leave the room and come back in after a break with a completely new getup. It was unbelievable. The only time she ever took off her hat was when it was banging into the microphone."

The finale episode called "Lisa Goes Gaga," will feature Gaga coming to Springfield to cheer up Lisa. "I play a little bit of a slut," Gaga said of her appearance in the episode according to Entertainment Weekly. "The apple doesn't fall far from my artistic tree."

Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson told E! Online there are other celebrities she would like to work with, too.

"I've always wanted to work with Hugh Jackman," she said. "They'd do a song and dance and that'd be fun! A musical! I think that the next movie that they do should actually be a musical and get all these guys: Lady Gaga, Michael Buble and Josh Groban."

Other iconic appearances on the show include Tony Blair, Simon Cowell, and Dustin Hoffman.
