The footage of the game revealed the protagonist of "Mass Effect: Andromeda", Ryder, walking through a space station. A cut scene also showed a terminal similar to the ones on other planets. Ryder and his comrades ran off when they snagged on the security system. The demo also showed off other characters as well as scenes and places in the game.

It was confirmed that the settings of the events in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" take place in the Helios Cluster. Ars Technica wrote that the Helios Cluster is a place located in the Andromeda galaxy. Players can choose to either play Ryder as a female or male.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is not a continuation of the original "Mass Effect" trilogy. Instead, it will have its own story and new protagonist with its own new enemies and creatures never seen before. This means that the franchise's beloved Commander Shepard and his crew may not be making an appearance or at the very least, playable.

New "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Trailer Coming Soon
BioWare's Aaryn Flynn noted that the company will be releasing a new "Mass Effect: Andromeda" on November 7. The demo of the game also stated that there will be a new trailer on that date as well. Game Spot points out that the date picked out by the company is "N7 Day", a date they use to commemorate their franchise.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" Release Date
BioWare did not specify the exact release date of "Mass Effect: Andromeda". They stated that it will be coming early 2017. The game was originally slated for release in 2016, but it was delayed to next year to make time and room for adjustments and tweaks.
