Meizu Pro 6 Release Date Announced, Specs Include Helio X25, Full HD Display, Metal Design

Chinese smartphone maker Meizu is set to release a new device soon. According to a report by GSM Arena, the Meizu Pro 6 will be making its official debut on Wednesday, April 13. An invite has been released and it shows that the launch will take place in Beijing. There are some teases as well in the company's official Weibo account. And though it did not reveal much yet, Digital Trends detailed that an image has been posted, showcasing the back of the smartphone.

There is no first look for the front yet but Tech Times suggested that it will most likely have the look revealed from the previous images. As seen on the photo, the back is made of metal and has a black satin finish. This apparently gives the device a very sleek and modern feel. The main camera is also featured and below it is what appears to look like a fingerprint scanner. However, some rumors say that it's a ring-style flash unit just like the one in the Acer Liquid S2 and Moto X.

As for the specs, not a lot is confirmed yet but Android Headlines noted that the Meizu Pro 6 is already sure to come with fullHD (1920 x 1080) display that is pressure sensitive. It's also said to carry an innovative antenna design and will have under its hood a Helio X25 64-bit deca-core processor. Rumors also say that there will be two variants of the model. A report from Gizmochina said that one will have a whopping 6 GB of RAM paired with 128 GB of native storage. Meanwhile, the other one is said to have 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of memory space.
