As for the specs, The Verge points out that the Moto G Play is the lowest-priced model in Lenovo's Moto G series. The Moto G Play houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD. It also has a 2800 mAh battery and a 5-inch 720p display. The Play has two cameras: the front is a 5MP selfie shooter while the rear camera is 8MP.

Lenovo's Moto G is also included in Amazon's "Prime Exclusive" offerings. Its specs are a bit higher than the Moto G Play so it's reasonable to be priced at $149.99. The Moto G and another Prime exclusive phone called the Blu R1 HD are two of the best-selling phones in Amazon. The Blu R1 HD is priced at $49.99.

Moto G Play Preorder Details
Amazon Prime members may preorder the Moto G Play starting today. The smartphones will start shipping by September 15, next week.

Moto G Play Pricing, Discount Catch
Amazon made sure that the Moto G Play is unlocked. This means that customers won't have to be stuck with one carrier. The pricing at $100 is pretty good too, considering the Moto G Play is new. However, PC Mag noted that Amazon's $50 discount on the smartphone comes with a price.

For $50 off the pricing of Moto G Play, buyers grant Amazon the power to put ads and offers on the device's lockscreen. This is the same strategy they use on their Kindles. Buyers can unlock their Moto G Play to dismiss the ads. However, a Moto G Play version without the ads is also available on Amazon at the full price for both members and non-members.
