OnePlus 2 Mini Update & Rumors: Device to Sport 4.6-Inch Display, Snapdragon 810 SoC, 4 GB of RAM

Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is brewing something for its fans as several reports point to an upcoming device. According to International Business Times, a mysterious OnePlus handset has been spotted on the GFXBench benchmarking site.

Although GFXBench shows a listing for an "unknown" smartphone, the device is referred to as the OnePlus 2 Mini because of its 4.6-inch display and its similar specs with the OnePlus 2 handset. The listing revealed that it will have full HD with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 5 finger gesture support.

It may be small but it's meant to be terrible as it is also said that it will carry Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with a processing speed of 1.7GHz. It will also be equipped with Adreno 430 GPU and will come with an OpenGL ES 3.1. Yibada reported that along with the chipset is a 4 GB of RAM, although the listing specifically cited a 3.6 GB. AS for its memory storage, a 64 GB capacity will be onboard. The device will also be pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system. There are reports though that it may be getting the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

Other details revealed a 12-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, face detection, flash and touch focus. It's also capable of taking ultra-high definition videos with a resolution of 3840 x 2160, as noted in Digital Trends. On the front, a 4.8-megapixel camera can be found. It's also capable of taking video selfies with its 1280 x 960 resolution.

Sensor features incorporated include an accelerometer, gyroscope, lightsensor, proximity and pedometer. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS. What's missing though is the NFC capability, just like how it with the OnePlus 2 handset.

As of the moment, there are no reports yet regarding the battery size, the price and the availability of the device. Fans will just have to wait and see when it might possibly be officially announced.
