Pokemon X and Y Available for Free in Japan with Purchase of 3DS in Limited Time Nintendo Promotion

Nintendo is running a promotion in Japan that will land either Pokemon X or Y for free until September 30 with the purchase of a 3DS.

VG247 Nintendo is running a Recommended Software promotion that includes a free game's list. Once someone purchases a 3DS they have a couple of months to choose a game off of the short list. The list gets renewed every month, so they may wait to see if they like the next list better. From April 26 to May 30, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Yo-Kai Watch. Beginning in June, X and Y will be added to that list. Also coming is Pokemon Art Academy, and Puzzle and Dragons Z.

The Pokemon Company recently announced they will be releasing Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, which are remakes of Game Boy Advance classic's, Ruby and Sapphire. The games will be arriving for the 3DS in November.

"Pokémon fans will collect, battle, and trade Pokémon in a new adventure," said a short press release by the Pokemon Company. "The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world."

Not much more was revealed about the game, but gamers can speculate it will be revamped into X and Y's 3D style.

According to Joystiq, they believe the new trailer reveals not only updated graphics and enhanced visuals, but different designs of the Pokemon represented in the trailer. The two showed are Groudon and Kyogre, which look somewhat different from normal. The box are and what is shown in the video are look very different from each other.
