Samsung Introduces New Smart TV Remote, Provides Easy Access To Multiple Devices

A remote that can control an entire home TV system and other devices is going to be available soon for those who are fond of lounging in their living room and watching TV. According to Latin Post, South Korean tech giant Samsung has introduced a Smart TV remote on Monday at the Consumer Electronics Show.

The remote, according to the site, functions as a control to all devices in a user's entertainment center. This means that users will no longer need to carry with them more than one remote in order to get the system up and running.

CNET detailed that the new remote will give users the ability to control their TV, set-top boxes, streaming media players, Blu-ray players and even gaming consoles. It's also noted that the smart remote automatically recognizes each device that is connected to the TV.

Samsung Newsroom also detailed that the device comes with the new 'Smart Hub' user interface which permits users to effortlessly switch between linear content, OTT content as well as other connected devices. The new interface will also let them find top titles that they wish to watch or play.

Through this advanced technology, consumers can easily access what they really want in an easier, faster and more effective way. Owners can also choose to customize their own Smart Hub interface. They can opt to organize their favorite content and entertainment selections and display it right on the home screen. No doubt that Samsung had one thing in mind—to offer a new type of experience to the public.

"The world of TV is constantly changing, with more choices and more connected devices than ever before, so we have made it easier for people to discover and watch the content they want, when they want" said Won Jin Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics.

Consumers who are interested in getting one for themselves should stay tuned for more updates.
