It has been recently confirmed that the sixth "Terminator" film will premiere in 2019. Meanwhile, director Tim Miller also teased that Linda Hamilton's character Sarah Connor will certainly beat Liam Neeson's villainous role.

Cameron, who is also very famous for creating the world of Pandora in the hit movie "Avatar," will be sitting as the producer of the upcoming "Terminator" installment, while Miller comes in as the director. The latter also helmed the box office hit, "Deadpool."

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, it was confirmed that the next "Terminator" film – its title still unknown – will be released in theaters on July 26, 2019.

As previously reported, Cameron was able to bring back the original and key cast members of the franchise, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton, to reprise their popular roles as the Terminator and Sarah Connor, respectively.

Cameron emphasized the importance of bringing back the original cast for the 2019 installment, especially Hamilton, who Cameron regards as one of the most iconic personalities who represent women by taking on a very fierce character in an action-packed film back when it was not common in Hollywood.

The "Terminator" creator shared that when he approached Hamilton to be in the film, he told the actress: "Look, we could rest on our laurels. It's ours to lose, in a sense. We created this thing several decades ago. But, here's what can be really cool. You can come back and show everybody how it's done."

"Because in my mind, it hasn't been done a whole lot since the way she did it back in '91," Cameron explained to THR. He also pointed out that right now, the world should also see a woman aged "50-, 60-, or 70- something" who can still perform well in an action movie with a key role. And he thinks Hamilton could be one of them.

Miller added that, in a way, that principle also comes into play with why they were introducing a new villain to be portrayed by Neeson.
