'The Amazing Race' season 27 spoilers: Former cheerleaders Krista and Tiffany are now ready to get "down and dirty!"

The Emmy award-winning reality show "The Amazing Race" is now back on its 27th edition, and fans are getting anxious to see the racers this season.

Among of the competitors this season are former NFL cheerleaders and best friends Krista and Tiffany. Tiffany lives in New Jersey, while Krista is from New York, and the two had cheered for the New York Jets. According to International Business Times, the two want others to see them as the show's underdog, and "out of the competition."

In the video interview of the long-time friends with CBS, Krista and Tiffany said that they want to be underestimated by the other teams so that they will not be seen as a threat. According to #TheCheerleaders, this gives them an advantage to surprise the other competitors with their "performance."

The first episode of "The Amazing Race" season 27 was titled "A Little Too Much Beefcake."

"Even in the NFL, we would have to rehearsal in full hair and makeup just to practice having all that stuff on for a game. If it's raining or if it's snowing, if it's hot, cold, you have to be prepared for anything," Tiffany, 28, said.

"And just because you look for a certain way doesn't mean anything. And that's why I'd rather a team think that, like, 'Well look at them, they are too busy doing their lipstick,' or whatever," the 28-year old Krista said. "But when it comes to down to it, we are going to be just like everyone else, and get down and dirty, more down and dirty than anybody here," she added

The two cheerleaders will now compete against 10 other teams of two in a race around the world in "The Amazing Race" season 27.

The hit reality show will be back this Friday, Sept. 27, on CBS.
