'The Americans' Season 4 News: More Chaos to Come

With the fourth season of "The Americans" off to an explosive start, fans can expect more chaos to arise as the episodes come. It was reported that the upcoming episodes will put the Soviet spies in an unfortunate situation.

The most recent episode of the series saw Philip making an important decision, which gave him to choice but to kill a bus driver.

In addition, the episode also saw Paige with her own set of problems. She was seen struggling to maintain her family's reputation despite the challenges that were presented. With that, Philip and Elizabeth also saw the need to put more effort in protecting their daughter.

Because of this, they sought help from Pastor Tim, whom they revealed their true identities. Surprisingly, the Pastor already had experience in dealing with spies and their secrets. This had Philip and Elizabeth wondering about who else could be aware of their real identities.

With all those problems, fans can expect the upcoming episode of "The Americans" Season 4 to be full of action. The synopsis for Episode 4, titled "Chloramphenicol," read, "Patriotism is tested after a flaw during a mission puts Philip; Elizabeth; William; and Gabriel in danger while Nina puts her life on the line back in Russia."

The executive producer of the series, Joe Weisberg, recently spoke to Vulture about how the upcoming events will affect Philip and Elizabeth's relationship. He said, "If you think of how odd that relationship was in that first season or in that pilot, where he has all these feelings for her that aren't quite reciprocated, and yet they've been together a very long time, there is something deep and emotional between them — it was all in that moment in a lot of great ways."

"The Americans" season 4 airs on FX every Wednesday night.
