The episode opened with Lena (Sherri Saum) and Stef (Teri Polo) dropping a shocking announcement to their kids that they are filing a divorce. But it was later unveiled that the parents of the multi-ethnic blended family are not really intending to break up. They are planning to use the divorce to solve the whole house fiasco.

On the other hand, Brandon did well at his Julliard audition. During the audition process, he met Ari (Angeline Appel) who started to make him realize that if he really wants to make it in Julliard, he should not let Cortney (Denyse Tontz) or Mason (Benjamin Freitas) hold him back.

It was also revealed that Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) is hiding to her family that she is an addict. She has been taking Jesus's (Noah Centineo) medications again.

Moreover, Callie (Maia Mitchell) seemed to be going to a dangerous path since she embroiled herself in the murder mystery involving Kyle (Adam Irigoyen). She was caught in the act breaking in and stealing possible evidence.

Episode 10 Preview & Spoilers

The turnout of events and revelations in the recent episode hinted that the fourth season of the television series will have a melodramatic ending. A cliffhanger is also possible considering that the one remaining episode is not enough to solve each of the character's problems.

According to SheKnows, "The Fosters" will most likely end with a crazy Mariana cliffhanger. The preview of the final episode hinted that Nick (Louis Hunter) has some plans. There is a big possibility that the season will wrap up with Nick abducting Mariana.

Moreover, Cortney will not surely have a happy ending after Brandon penned a breakup letter for her. The season finale will show how Cortney would react to the letter and if Brandon made the right move.

On the other hand, the result of Brandon's Julliard audition is still uncertain. Per TVOM, Brandon might not anymore appear in the next season if he will pass the audition.

The last episode "Collateral Damage" will air on Freeform on August 29.
