U.S. Women's Gymnastics Olympics: Complete list of results and highlights

Friday, July 8, 2016 – Simone Biles was the star of the evening as the 3-time World and 4-time U.S. all-around champion of Spring Texas lead the all-around standings with a total of 61.850, Laurie Hernandez following in second with 60.850, and Aly Raisman, 2012 Olympic gold-medalist with a score of 59.950.

Among the fourteen young women, only 5 will join the U.S. Women's Gymnastics Team at the Olympics. The selected members will be named on Sunday, July 10 at the final competition following the approval of the U.S. Olympic Committee. This is the second consecutive year the City of San Jose has had the privilege of hosting the gymnastics' Olympic trials where gymnasts will have to earn a spot on Team USA and represent the U.S. at the upcoming Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. On Saturday, the trials will will continue starting at 3 p.m. from July 9-10 at the Arena Green, along with a live celebration of the Olympic Spirit and this summer's Olympic Games.
